One price, itemised
The figure you're quoted is the figure on the agreement. Extras are listed before you book — never discovered at the desk.
- 02
Your flight, tracked
Give us the flight number and a delay becomes our problem. Someone is there when you actually land.
- 03
Cover in plain English
What's covered, what the excess is, and what it costs to reduce it — explained before you sign, not after.

A local number
A flat battery in Mdina or a ZTL sign in Valletta — you call us and you reach Malta.
Malta drives on the left.
It surprises a lot of visitors. The short version is below; the guide covers roundabouts, the Valletta ZTL, parking and fuel.
- Keep left, overtake on the right. Roundabouts run clockwise.
- 80 km/h on open roads, 50 km/h in built-up areas.
- Valletta has a ZTL — a charged controlled-access zone by day.
- Nothing is far. 27 km end to end; allow for traffic, not distance.
Add what you need. Skip what you don't.
Every extra is priced on the quote before you commit.
- Per day
Excess reduction
Lowers the damage excess for a fixed daily rate; Zero Risk Protection removes it entirely.
- Per day
Child seats
Infant, toddler and booster seats, fitted and checked before you drive.
- Per day
Additional driver
Share the driving. Named on the agreement so both of you are covered.
- Included
Gozo crossing
Take the car on the ferry — tell us in advance and it's on the agreement.
- By arrangement
Out-of-hours handover
Late landing or an early flight home — arranged when you book.
The things people ask.
What do I need to bring?
A full driving licence held for at least two years, your passport or ID card, and a card in the main driver's name for the deposit. If your licence isn't in the Latin alphabet, bring an International Driving Permit alongside it.
Which card do you need for the deposit?
It must be a Mastercard or Visa in the main driver's name — no other scheme, and no card in someone else's name. Without Zero Risk Protection the deposit is a real pre-authorisation, so it has to be a credit card; a debit card cannot be used. With Zero Risk Protection the deposit drops to €300 and you may leave it on a debit or credit card.
Can I take the car to Gozo?
Yes. The Ċirkewwa–Mġarr ferry takes cars and the crossing is about 25 minutes. Let us know when you book so it's noted on your agreement — the ferry ticket is paid at the terminal.
Which side of the road does Malta drive on?
The left, like the UK. Roundabouts run clockwise and you give way to traffic already on the roundabout. Our driving guide walks through the rest.
Where do I collect the car?
At Malta International Airport, where we meet you in the arrivals hall, every day from 08:00 to 02:00. That is our only collection point — we don't hand over at hotels or private addresses.
What are your opening hours?
We are open 08:00 to 02:00, every day of the year — weekends and public holidays included. That covers late arrivals and early departures without an out-of-hours fee.
How old do I have to be?
The main driver must be between 21 and 75 and have held a full licence for at least two years. Drivers under 25 pay a young-driver fee of €8 a day, shown in your total before you confirm.
What if my flight is delayed?
Give us your flight number when you book and we track it. If you land late, we're still there — no need to call from the plane.
